With OpenAI’s ChatGPT, companies are rushing to incorporate AI into their products, highlighting how AI can help with mundane tasks. GPT-3 is the large language model that powers ChatGPT, with GPT-4 being the ChatGPT most of us are familiar with. Afterwards, OpenAI upgraded ChatGPT with GPT-4, and it appears it will release GPT-5 soon as well.
Is OpenAI Releasing GPT-5 This Summer?
Reports say OpenAI is on track to release their new GPT-5 model sometime in the middle of this year, likely this summer. GPT powers ChatGPT, so GPT-5 would mean big improvements to ChatGPT too. Companies shown early access to GPT-5 said it’s much better than previous versions.
What’s New in GPT-5 ChatGPT?
As well as being faster and smarter, GPT-5 may let ChatGPT work with other AI systems. This could allow ChatGPT to take actions for you without needing a human involved. Of course, OpenAI will thoroughly test GPT-5 is safe before the public gets it.
