See All Your Health Data in One Place with Fitbit

Google is making it easier to see your complete health stats in the Fitbit app. At the Mobile World Congress in 2024, they announced that the Fitbit app will now show data from Health Connect devices and apps. This gives you a full picture of your health in one spot.

Before, if you used different apps and devices to track your health, the data was all separate. Now, Fitbit will pull it together. In the main Today screen, you’ll see cards for things like steps, active minutes and workout days. These will include info from non-Fitbit sources using the Health Connect symbol.

You can also check a new “Records” section to see everything Fitbit gets from Health Connect. It lists all the health data types shared, like weight or blood pressure. Tapping on a record takes you to more details.

Fitbit will label third-party info, so you know where it’s coming from. Then you can view it as normal within the familiar Fitbit interface. This rollout started today.

To share your data, the other apps need to integrate with the new Android Health Connect feature. It comes with Android 14 or you can download it for older phones from the Play Store. Then you need to set it up in each app you want Fitbit to see from.

Previously, Google Fit was the go-to for combined health data. But it hasn’t been updated much lately. This new Fitbit integration makes it easier than ever to get a full snapshot of your health metrics each day.

No more app hopping to track fitness, weight, sleep and more – just check Fitbit for everything in one place. This should help many people get a clearer picture of their overall wellness.
