New Tools to Help Edit DALL-E Images

There are times when it can be difficult to figure out what prompts to use to get OpenAI’s DALL-E to create the exact image you want. However, ChatGPT‘s AI image generator is getting new editing features that may help. DALL-E will now have tools to edit images and get suggestions for different styles.

DALL-E will soon have two new features to help users edit the images it creates. The first are editing tools that let you change part of an image. When you click on a DALL-E image in ChatGPT, an edit icon will appear. You can then select an area of the image and give a new prompt to change it. In one example, someone selected a dog’s ears and prompted DALL-E to add bows.

The second new feature gives style suggestions. These will show different art styles you can try, like woodcut, sci-fi, or gothic art. The styles may spark new ideas if you need help coming up with a prompt.

The editing tools and style suggestions should make DALL-E easier to use. Before, it could be hard to know exactly what to write to get the image you wanted. Now you can edit images to tweakt hem or get inspired by style options. But you still need to know what changes or additions you want to make to images.

These updates aim to help people who aren’t experts at coming up with prompts. With practice and the new tools, anyone should find it simpler to use DALL-E to generate customized pictures.
