It’s No Fix for a Broken Screen: Google’s Pixel Watch Repair Problem

According to Google, repairing a broken display on the Pixel Watch is not possible. The company does not offer official replacement screens for this wearable device, and there also appears to be no third-party alternative available on the market. Additionally, it’s worth noting that Google’s Limited Warranty for the Pixel Watch does not extend coverage to damages resulting from accidental drops or impacts.

Google has acknowledged that replacing a cracked Pixel Watch screen simply isn’t an option right now. They’ve told users that they “don’t have any repair options for the Google Pixel Watch”. If the screen breaks, Google says owners can ask about replacement deals but won’t share the actual costs upfront.

Many frustrated Pixel Watch owners have taken to forums like Reddit and Google’s community pages. They complain that Google offers no solution when their screen breaks. While the repair guide site iFixit explains how to replace the screen, critical parts aren’t for sale. Your only choice may be to find a used Pixel Watch, which seems like a waste of money.

With a Pixel Watch 2 on the horizon, Google needs to address this repairability issue. People won’t want to invest in a premium smartwatch they can’t fix. It’s especially important since the domed glass display is prone to cracking. With no repairs or low-cost screens, one slip could mean an expensive replacement. Pixel Watch owners will want options if accidents happen!
