Google Play Store Could Answer Your Questions With AI-Generated FAQs

It seems Google isn’t slowing down on integrating AI into its products. AI-generated FAQs may be the next Google product to feature the technology in the Play Store.

The latest version of the Google Play Store app might include automatic answers to common questions about apps. Engineers found hidden code for an “App FAQs” section with questions an AI helper could answer.

If you turn on a special setting, the FAQs will show up on an app’s info page. There would be a button to show or hide the answers. Right now, the AI helper can only answer three questions for each app:

  • What do people like most about this app?
  • Why is this app popular?
  • What is this app about?

The AI system tries to give different responses for each app. But it always uses the same three starter questions. This could help save you time if you have common questions when browsing for new apps to download.

We don’t know when Google plans to launch this feature officially. Testing is still happening behind the scenes. In the future, AI assistance could give quick app explanations without extra work from developers. This may improve the app shopping experience on Google Play. Keep an eye out for automatic FAQs coming to an app page near you!
