Did OpenAI Accidentally Reveal a Faster, Smarter ChatGPT Coming Soon?

Several posts on social media have gone viral about a potential new AI model from OpenAI, the company behind ChatGPT. Apparently, Bing and DuckDuckGo indexed a blog post the company accidentally posted on the model.

The blog post mentioned a new AI called “GPT-4.5 Turbo”. It said this version will be faster and smarter than the current GPT-4 Turbo model. According to the post, GPT-4.5 Turbo can understand more words at once. It can also answer questions better by knowing more information.

The blog post said GPT-4.5 Turbo will know things up until June 2024. This made some people think it may come out in July or August. The current GPT-4 Turbo only knows about things until April 2023.

The new model can also think about twice as many words at the same time. The GPT-4 Turbo can understand 128,000 words together. But GPT-4.5 Turbo can do 256,000 words at once. This helps it keep up with other intelligent assistants like Google’s “Gemini” model.

OpenAI deleted the blog post and won’t say if GPT-4.5 Turbo is real. They also won’t give a release date. But people found it interesting that the post mentioned June 2024. That date is also when the original ChatGPT launched one year ago.

So in short, it seems OpenAI may have slipped up and shown us their next smart chatbot. But for now, we’ll have to wait to see if GPT-4.5 Turbo is truly coming or was just a mistake. Let me know if you need any part of the explanation simplified further!
