When using your voice assistant, you may have to speak loudly before it understands your command. While this isn’t a concern at home, it could make you apprehensive about using it in public. With its new smart ring, VTouch hopes to eliminate this problem.
VTouch has made a smart ring called the WHSP Ring. It lets you talk to your voice assistant without raising your voice. You wear it on your finger. The WHSP Ring works with VTouch’s phone app. The app has different artificial intelligence (AI) assistants you can talk to. Some examples are a therapist assistant and an art expert assistant.
With the ring, you don’t need to pick up your phone to use your assistant. The ring has a sensor and microphone. When you press the ring’s button, it notices when you bring the ring close to your mouth. This turns on the microphone so you can talk softly. You can then ask your assistant questions or give it commands in a low voice.
Some other useful things the ring allows you to do are control your smart home devices, listen to messages, translate languages and alert your emergency contacts if needed. Unfortunately, VTouch has not said when the WHSP Ring will be available or how much it will cost. But the ring could help more people enjoy using voice assistants without worrying about disturbing others.
