Since the Vision Pro launched on February 2, over 1,000 apps have been developed specifically for it, and now one of the most popular social platforms is among them. Although you can watch TikTok videos on the Vision Pro via your browser, the new native app allows a more immersive experience.
TikTok has launched its app for the Apple Vision Pro. The Vision Pro came out on February 2nd and already has over 1,000 apps made just for it. TikTok is one of the biggest social networks, so it’s great they made an app. Before you could only watch videos in your web browser, but the new app makes the videos more fun to see.
Some big changes include the buttons being moved out of the way. On the mobile app, buttons block part of the video. But in the new Vision Pro app, the like button and other things are on the side so you can see everything. When you look at comments or someone’s profile, it shows up next to the video instead of over it like on phones. This allows you to watch, read comments, and more all together easily.
Since the Vision Pro doesn’t have a screen like phones or computers, TikTok was able to design the app differently. You can watch videos in cool imaginary places like forests or the moon. The app also works with Shared Space, which lets you watch videos while using other Vision Pro apps at the same time.
On phones, buttons are on the right side but TikTok moved them to the left for the Vision Pro. They say this follows Apple’s best practices. The new design makes it nicer to use the popular social video network on the exciting new headset.
The new TikTok app should help it compete better against other apps for the Vision Pro like YouTube and Disney+. Only time will tell if more people will watch TikTok videos in virtual reality worlds using their Vision Pro!
