The New Black Xbox Series S with 1TB Storage

Microsoft has launched a new black Xbox Series S with 1TB of storage. The only difference between the black Xbox Series S and the original white Xbox Series S is the exterior paint job and the amount of storage inside. Despite its $349 price tag, it is still an affordable way to play Bethesda’s new Starfield game, which launches this week on Xbox One and PC.

The exterior of the new black Xbox Series S has a carbon black paint job instead of white. This matches the color of the bigger Xbox Series X. The original white Xbox Series S with 512GB storage is still available for $299.

With 1TB of storage, you can install a big game like Call of Duty without worrying about running out of space. On the original Xbox Series S, you only got 364GB of usable space after the system files. Now you get over 800GB free on the black model. That’s more than double the space.

The ports on the black Xbox Series S are the same as the white ones. It has two USB ports on the back along with an Ethernet port. There is also an HDMI port to connect to your TV. On the front, there’s one more USB port. Just like the Series X, the black Series S also comes with a black controller in the box.

Inside, the main fan area at the top is fully black now instead of mixed white and black. This keeps the whole console matching. We’ll have to wait until someone takes it apart to see if anything else inside is different.

The 1TB Xbox Series S in sleek black is available now for $349.99. It gives you double the storage of the white model in a black stealthy design.
