YouTube Premium is getting a new look, including new badges for creators. The new badges will be displayed next to creator names on videos, and they’ll indicate whether the creator is a YouTube Premium member.
The new badges are part of YouTube Premium’s new “Creators Hub,” which is a new section of the YouTube app that highlights the best content from creators who are YouTube Premium members. The Creators Hub will also include new features, such as the ability to see which creators you’re subscribed to and to see what videos they’ve recently uploaded.
YouTube Premium is a subscription service that offers ad-free video streaming, background playback, and the ability to download videos to watch offline. The service costs $11.99 per month in the United States and less than ₦2,000.00 in Nigeria even for the family plan.
The new badges are a way for YouTube to highlight the best content from its creators, and to encourage users to sign up for YouTube Premium. The new features in the Creators Hub are also designed to make it easier for users to find the content they want to watch.
If you’re a YouTube Premium member, you’ll start seeing the new badges on videos soon. If you’re not a YouTube Premium member, you can sign up for the service here.
