Installing Google Keep on your Android phone is one of the best things you can do. It’s an underrated note-taking app that gets the basics right and stays out of your way. Since Google Keep keeps things simple, we don’t see many new features or overhauls that often. The company, however, seems to think it’s time for some changes, as it’s testing a new bottom toolbar.
Google Keep is Testing a New Bottom Bar
Google Keep may soon have a fresh new look. Engineers at Google are experimenting with a different bottom bar for the app. This new bar would make it easier to take notes, make lists, and draw pictures right from the bottom of the screen. It would replace the older toolbar that had buttons for notes, lists, images and voice recordings.
The new bottom bar only takes up a small amount of space. This means you can see more of your notes whether you have your phone upright or sideways. There’s also a fun animation when you tap the plus button to add a new note.
Not Everyone Can Try It Yet
This new design isn’t available for most people just yet. Only some users who have modified their phones are able to turn it on themselves to preview early. But if testing goes well, Google may roll out a update to give the note-taking app a sleek upgrade.
