As part of its quest to soundtrack your sweaty workouts, Garmin announced a new player today. Subscribers can now access 100 million songs via the YouTube Music app via the Connect IQ Store.
Until now, Garmin watch owners could only use Amazon Music, Deezer or Spotify for playlists. The YouTube Music app lets subscribers download songs and podcasts straight to compatible watches. That means jamming out phone-free and ad-free while running or hiking. Just pair Bluetooth headphones for the full wireless experience.
The YouTube Music app works on many recent Garmin models. This includes various Forerunner, Fenix, Venu and Enduro watches. Older Garmin watches will get support soon too.
To use it, download the YouTube Music app from the Connect IQ store on a compatible watch. Then load up playlists and podcasts beforehand for offline listening away from your phone.
It’s a great new option for Garmin fans looking for new motivating music. The massive library of over 100 million tracks has something for every workout. Download the YouTube Music app today to rock out run-free on your Garmin watch.
