Apple has been working hard to make their devices as small as possible now that they design their own computer chips. The new iPad Pro is Apple’s thinnest tablet yet. Rumors say a thinner iPhone 17 will come out soon too.
When it comes to Mac computers, the iMac and MacBook models have already gotten smaller redesigned looks. Now it seems the Mac Mini could get a makeover to be even more compact. Leaks suggest Apple’s latest computer, the Mac Mini M4, may launch this fall.
Reports say the Mac Mini M4 will have a redesigned chassis that is significantly smaller than current models. It will keep the aluminum casing and have ports for HDMI and USB-C connections. From the descriptions, the new Mac Mini could end up looking a lot like an Apple TV in size and shape!
Under the hood, two Mac Mini M4 options are expected. A basic model will use the same M4 chip as the latest iPad Pro for good performance. A higher-end Pro version may include an upgraded M4 Pro chip for better graphics and memory. Other details like whether audio and Ethernet jacks stay are still unknown.
Apple aims to stay on the cutting edge of compact design with powerful internals. If rumors are accurate, the Mac Mini M4 could be the tiniest Mac yet when it launches later this year.
