WhatsApp now notifies you if you have unsent messages typed up in chats so you can respond later. Messages you’ve started writing will display a green and bold “Draft” word followed by what you’ve typed.
This helpful update makes it easier to keep track of conversations you haven’t finished. When you have a draft message, it automatically moves to the top of your chat list, eliminating the need to scroll through your conversations to find incomplete messages.
The feature has been rolled out globally to all WhatsApp users. This update joins other recent improvements to the messaging app, including:
- A built-in address book
- Custom chat organization lists
- Enhanced user management features
This addition comes as WhatsApp continues to grow, having reached 100 million monthly active users as of July. The draft feature addresses a common user need, making it harder to use the excuse of “forgetting” to reply to messages.
Whether you’re caught up in a busy day or need time to think about your response, WhatsApp’s draft feature ensures your partially written messages won’t get lost in daily conversations.
