The Best Tech Skills to Learn for 2023

While the AI industry is increasing, and robotics is also gaining its relevance, tech still has so much potential for growth and this industry will continue to thrive over the coming years. In this article, I will discuss some of the best tech skills to learn ahead of the year 2023.

Video Production

As we all know, content is king. At the top of the content world is the new increase of short-form and long-form video content. With the new influx of content creators who use video as the major form of story telling, there is bound to be an increase in the need for video production services into 2023 at all levels from the entry level to the more professional video producers.

Content creators who want to outsource their video production services will see the increase in need for video production experts such as directors, videographers, filmmakers and editors. It is also worth noting that YouTube SEO experts will have their fair share of increased jobs.

Cybersecurity

With more and more businesses going online and attacks on businesses and individuals getting to new heights in recent years, the need for cybersecurity experts will only continue to grow on the coming years. It is expected that more businesses will want to spend more on preventing ransomware and other related attacks on their technology and infrastructure.

Businesses would want to keep their customers minds at ease and this will be the main reason for deciding to invest more in preventing attacks on their systems and technologies.

User Experience

As we have noted earlier that the tech industry is increasing, more focus will continue to be shifted towards the user experience as that would continue to form one of the key deciding factors for customer acquisition. Companies would invest more in user experience to make sure that their platform or software becomes more intuitive to use. Therefore, we expect that budget for user experience will continue to increase.

Emotional Intelligence

With the definite and obvious shift to remote work, there comes the challenge of having to relate to each other in ways that are void of face-to-face communication where we can read peoples body language more accurately.

I expect business, leadership, and success coaches to thrive really well in the year 2023, especially if they are including emotional intelligence into their package. The other set of people who will absolutely thrive are those who are already emotionally intelligent and can manage non-face-to-face communication styles, meaning they can avoid or avert major misunderstandings that are more bound to occur in the remote setting.

Data Science & Analytics

With data being more readily available for businesses since most of their platforms are going digital, we expect businesses to invest more on understanding the data that they are collecting and using this data to make better decisions therefore, the field of data science analytics, also known as big data, will only continue to thrive even more.

I expect that businesses would want to make good use of the data that they have been collecting over the years if they have not started doing so already. Big data is a field that is fairly easy to get into, especially for those in the academics sector.

Blockchain

The adoption of blockchain-based technologies has only continued to increase over the years, and we can expect that with this increase in adoption, there will be more softwares built on this technology, especially since the financial aspect is having a great time.

We can expect other use cases to continue to scale in the year 2023 and beyond.
