Spotify’s New Auto-Offline Playlist Saves Your Listening Sessions

Spotify Premium subscribers can listen to songs manually downloaded without an internet connection by using offline playback. Most users, however, forget to download their favourite playlists before a flight or other offline activities, which prevents them from streaming. The app’s cache now enables offline playback to avoid interrupting paying users’ listening sessions during unexpected internet outages.

Spotify has introduced an “Offline Backup” feature that compiles recently played cached songs into an automatic offline playlist. As long as you’ve streamed music recently without clearing the app’s storage, you can enjoy select tunes without WiFi or cellular data.

The handy offline playlist lets you sort and filter cached songs by genre, artist, and mood for a personalized offline listening experience. To use it, simply enable offline listening in settings and stream at least 5 tracks.

Need to rock out stash without service? Spotify has you covered seamlessly with this new auto-offline function. No more interruptions to your jams from pesky network issues!
