Samsung Bringing Smart AI Features to Mid-Range A-Series Phones

Samsung introduced Galaxy AI with its flagship Galaxy S24 series earlier this year. With the launch of its latest foldable phones, Samsung extended its AI-powered tools to more devices, and it may now be working on bringing Galaxy AI to midrange phones as well.

According to industry sources, Samsung is planning to add some of its Galaxy AI functions to the Galaxy A55 and Galaxy A35. While the timing isn’t official, the smart features could arrive via the upcoming One UI 6.1.1 update.

However, don’t expect these affordable phones to match flagship AI abilities exactly. Their weaker processors mean heavy processing tasks may be omitted. Samsung likely aims to offer accessible smarts, without overloading lower-end hardware.

The Galaxy S23 FE shows Samsung tailors AI by device. Mid-range phones probably won’t get functions like Instant Slow-Mo either. But sources say Samsung wants its entry-level lineups to experience intelligent conveniences flagship users enjoy.

If implemented well, extra AI could significantly bolster A-series value. Only the update itself will reveal how Samsung balanced smarts with performance on modest hardware. However, affordable access to helpful AI features seems a winner for popular mid-tier models.
