Lenovo ThinkPad P70 Review

The Lenovo ThinkPad P70 is a really great PC that has all the major ports that you need, great display and possesses a very powerful powerful performance.

Design

It comes in a brick-like matte black box that has straight and angular edges. The material is less prone to attract fingerprint or dirt.

The keyboard is backlit and spill-resistant with a dedicated number pad and the dual much input (TrackPoint and trackpad). The keys are very responsive and not noisy.

As I said earlier, the PC has lots of ports mostly on the rear and right side of the PC while the left side is for the DVD drive which can be replaced for with another hard drive.

Display

It has a touch display with a screen size of 17.3″ and happens to be Lenovo’s first laptop with a 4k resolution. If you are a gamer or into video production then you will appreciate this so much.

Processing Power, Hardware & Storage

The ThinkPad P70 comes with Intel’s latest Skylake/mobile Xeon processors and a dedicated Nvidia Quadro GPU. This made lenovo include a dual-fan cooling system to reduce heat.

It can use up to 3TB of HDD storage with 1TB as primary and 2TB on the auxiliary (swap with DVD drive)

The RAM can be anywhere between 4 to 64GB and of the DDR4 technology.

There’s a fingerprint scanner on the side of this PC that actually requires touch instead of swipe as is popularly known with notebooks.

The battery is not replaceable and can last between 5 to 6 hours.

On-Point Rating

To be sincere regardless of the specs, not being able to replace the batter of a laptop na die  and as such is not on point at all.

The OPR for this Laptop is 3.5 and sincerely, if you have to buy this performance beast, know at the back of your mind that you are buying a portable desktop!!!

And yes, it’s really heavy.
