With Google Photos’ web version, automatic folder backups will streamline image backups. Previously, users had to manually select and upload images from their computer to Google Photos on the web, but now they will be able to automate the process.
The latest update lets Google Photos website users choose folders to continuously back up. All images added to a selected folder will upload automatically each time you visit photos.google.com.
Setting it up is easy – just pick “Back up folders” from the Upload menu. Then select the folder and grant access to photos.google.com.
Google Photos will display the folder, files backed up, and size. You can remove or add more folders with one click as well.
While it doesn’t work like Google Drive for continuous backups, this automatic option beats manually uploading photos from your computer each time.
Now Google Photos online provides set-it-and-forget-it protection for PC pictures too. Your images will safely sync without any extra work on your part.
