Emish X800 TV Box Review

The Emish X800 TV Box is an incredible piece of hardware, this is not because incredible digital lifestyle is written boldly on it but because it is made of different pieces of awesome.
Hardware
The Android box is powered by 64-bit octa core Rocketchip RK3368 processor plus the ever reliable PowerVR G6110 GPU and that is immense for a tv box even though it looks like a WiFi router 😉
There is 1GB of ram and 8GB of internal storag as well as space for an additional 16 GB.
There is also space for you to plug in a mouse and keyboard so that it can then double as a PC which is another piece of awesome.
Software
This machine is with Anroid 5.1 OS and is able to take care of all you streaming needs. There is XMBC support and this means that you will be able to decode 2k and 4k videos easily from this box without noticing any major lag.
As you all know XMBC is a very robust media player that can handle a lot of video types including 3D videos, DAT, MKV and MV-1 files to mention a few.
Ports

What’s a TV box without adequate ports. The following ports are present in the Emish X800:
  • One RJ45 LAN port
  • One DC Power port
  • One Mini HDMI Female port
  • Two USB 2.0 ports
  • One HDMI port
  • One CVBS port
  • One pair of audio ports

Control

The box comes with a traditional remote control but I reckon that you will enjoy using other video streaming apps like YouTube on the box.
At the end of the day you might be torn between using this box or the EZCast Pro Mirror2TV stick because they go for the same price but you should look at what you will be needing it for before making your final decision.
