The ChatGPT app is now available on Windows.
OpenAI announced yesterday that it is previewing a dedicated Windows application for ChatGPT, its AI-powered chatbot platform.
Right now, only those with paid ChatGPT plans can try the preview version. It lets Windows users chat about files and photos directly. This also gives early access to OpenAI’s latest AI models.
The app runs on most Windows 10 machines. However, it is still missing some key features found in other versions. For example, you cannot use voice chat or certain store integrations yet.
Similar to the macOS version, the app minimizes to a small sidebar. This allows chatting while working on other tasks. You can also send photos and files for ChatGPT to analyze.
While still early, the Windows app represents progress toward a full-featured experience later this year. ChatGPT users will soon be able to get help directly from their desktops without switching devices.
