Recently, Apple began testing iOS 18.1 with members of its developer program before the release of iOS 18. Apple Intelligence features such as Writing Tools and Clean Up are included in this release. Apple has now made the iOS 18.1 beta available to public testers in order to allow more users to test its AI features.
iOS 18.1 public beta 1 is now available for download, with the same build number as the developer beta. This update includes the first batch of cool Apple Intelligence updates like photo cleanup and notification summaries. However, not all AI abilities are ready yet – more will arrive in future versions.
To use the artificial intelligence, you need an iPhone 15 Pro or iPhone 16 running iOS 18.1. Sign up for the Apple Intelligence waitlist after installing the beta. Unfortunately, only US English is supported for now.
While the full features set debuts later, test out Writing Assist, Reduce Interruptions focus mode, and the redesigned Photos app on your compatible device. Join Apple’s public beta to preview upcoming changes without a developer account.
Download the iOS 18.1 public beta today for a sneak peek at how Apple Intelligence will enhance your iPhone experience. More AI powers will continually evolve through further testing and feedback.
