Apple has just been given the go ahead to test its Autonomous cars in California. This brings the number of companies that are at liberty to test their driverless cars in California to four with Alphabet (Googles parent company), Tesla and Uber having already applied for and been granted license to do same in California.
The Department of Motor Vehicles gave Apple the nod after recently announcing that it would be adjusting its rules to make it easier for companies to test their cars in California.
This will probably mean than in the next few years (or months) when Autonomous Cars become a big deal, California will have a lot to gain having been an iconic masterpiece of the technological puzzle.
