Samsung’s Quick Share feature allows you to share files locally between Galaxy phones. Samsung also lets users share content between non-Galaxy devices over the internet, and it turns out the company is doubling the daily file-sharing limit.
If you use Samsung’s Quick Share app to send files to friends with non-Samsung devices, you’ll be glad to hear it now allows sending twice as much data in a day. The app previously had a daily limit of 5GB for sharing over the internet, but Samsung recently upped this to a generous 10GB.
Not only that but the individual file size limit was also increased from 5GB to 10GB. This means you can now share much larger video or photo files with your contacts in one go. The changes were confirmed on Samsung’s official Quick Share website.
No longer will you have to split large transfers across multiple days or rely on third-party apps. As long as the total sent doesn’t exceed 10GB within a 24 hour period, Quick Share has you covered. The app was also tweaked to clearly display total file sizes before recipients receive them.
To take advantage of the doubled limits, be sure to update your Quick Share app from the Galaxy Store. Version 13.6.51.13 includes these changes, making Samsung’s built-in sharing solution even more capable of transferring big files to friends and family.
